Cthulhu moves in
It was a dark and stormy birthday. Or actually, it was not, but I guess that’s how a tentacle-filled horror-from-another-dimension kind of story should start. Anyway…
I thank God (not the Elder type…) for my geeky friends. One of them, Mia, is both an avid knitter and can totally appreciate my horror geekdom. So, in a Dark Arts Of Nerdery kind of way, she fixed me the coolest birthday present ever.
This little fellow. Or, according to litterature – quite great and scary fellow. Subcategory: Elder god.
As you can see, he is totally scary with his abominable tentacles, horrific, bat-like wings and huge scary eyes. Ah – those eyes in which insanity dwells and one can lose oneself in horror everlasting.
(Oh, really? Yeah. R’lyeh!)
He is currently living most of his time in my bookshelf, together with books from Lovecraft, Charles Stross (the Laundry series) and other Nameless Horrors.

Actually, “knitting” = sticka, this craft is called “crocheting” = virka. Just so you know… (Textile crafts nerdery ftw!)
